The Classes of 1991 to 1994 will be holding their Class Reunion on June 17th at the Portuguese Cultural Center “Trio” on South Main Street in Fall River. The Classes of 1995 to 1998 are also having a Class Reunion on July 16th at the Venus de Milo in Swansea. For more information on either reunion, contact Brandon J. Medeiros at BrandonMed@comcast.net There will be a DINNER DANCE Fund Raiser for Diman scholarships. It will be sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and held on May 14th at the VFW, 134 Shove Street, Tiverton, RI. Tickets are $15.00 per person. You can contact Richard Urban at 508-672-7588 for more information. All proceeds for this dinner dance will be donated directly to the Diman Alumni Scholarship Fund. Class Rings We’ve received ring donations from Shannon Mercer, 2001; Gary Benoit, 1975; Joshua J. Berube, 2004. Thank you very much! The only rings that are missing now are: 1950, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 Scholarships For a list of 2010 scholarship recipients, please send us an email at alumni@dimanregional.org. or visit our website. Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance office. See Mrs. Hill. The deadline for scholarship applications will be April 30th. This year’s Trade Scholarships will be awarded to Office Technologies, Health Careers, Machine Shop and Auto Body. Golf Tournament Our 15th Annual Golf Tournament will again be held at the Swansea Country Club. The event date is Saturday, June 11. It will be a shotgun start at 1:00 and volunteers are asked to be there for 10:30. The fee is $110 per golfer which includes tee gift, steak dinner and lunch is also included. Free driving range from 11:00 am to 12:45. Check-in begins at 11:00 am. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to reserve your 4-some. Registration deadline is May 21, 2011. September Car Show The date for the Car Show will be September 11 with a rain date the following Sunday on September 18th. More information will be available in upcoming newsletters... stay tuned. Hall of Fame for 2010 The Annual Hall of Fame Banquet was held on October 17, 2010. The inductees were David Abdow, Class of 1980, Gabriel Andrade, School Committee; Joseph Carvalho, Class of 1972; William Flanagan, Class of 1998, Paul Ford, Class of 1978; Robert Marquis, Class off 1972, Stephen Souza, Class of 1968 and Richard Urban, Class of 1960. Congratulations to all of you. Meetings A reminder, all meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, except during the summer, and when noted in the newsletter. They are held in the Diman Teachers’ Room, inside Room 251 at 7:00 P.M. Coffee and pastry are usually provided. We urge alumnus to try to attend one meeting per year. Memorial Scholarships If any person or group is interested in setting up a scholarship in someone’s memory and would like some information on how to do so, please contact Tom or Dennis. Please note: the Alumni Association is a completely separate entity from the school. Money sent to the school in the form of donations does not go to the Alumni Association. We have our own separate accounts and scholarship selection process. Ongoing Fund Raisers The Diman Alumni Association currently has two ongoing fund raising programs: The Perpetual Fund With this program, a minimum of a $25.00 donation will allow a person to have their name or the name of a person so named to be inscribed on a brass plate and attached to a wooden plaque on display in the public entrance hallway outside Room 251 (formerly known as The Tea Room.) There are several different dona- tion levels on the plaque. The brass plate can be moved up as donations accrue over time. All dona- tions are tax deductible. This program provides students with the skills necessary to compete in today's highly technical and demanding building trade industry.

Culinary Arts
The shop has the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art equipment available similar to area restaurants and conference centers.

Dental Assisting
Students receive intense hands-on training in the dental shop at Diman as well as clinical rotations at local dental offices.

Drafting
Drafting students translate design concepts through sketches, details, assemblies, and specifications.

Electrical Technology
Electrical Technology students are taught all facts of residential, commercial, and industrial writing.

Electronics Technology
Students learn a sound foundation in DC and AC theory, and the effects that both passive and active components have on circuit operations.

Facilities Management
The program prepares students for employment in the field by teaching a diversified curriculum in multiple trade related areas.

Graphic Communications
The Graphic Communications Program is crafted to bring students through the process of design creation to final production.

The Health Assisting Program offers bright prospects for students seeking rewarding careers in one of the fastest growing employment areas.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration
Upon completion of this program students are knowledgeable in all of the major areas of the HVAC and Refrigeration trades.
